Credo and Swets Announce E-Content Partnership

From

Boston-based Credo Reference, the online reference library, today announced a new partnership with Netherlands-based Swets adding Credo e-content to the SwetsWise database.

According to the announcement, more than 1500 Credo reference works from 80 publishers will be added to the SwetsWise ebook catalog, which contains more than one million ebooks. Subjects covered in the reference works include psychology, business, history, education, and environmental studies, among others.

This is the latest in a series of agreements Credo has struck with other vendors in the past year. As LJ has previously reported, Credo announced deals with discovery services since January 2011, including ProQuest unit Serials Solutions, EBSCO Publishing, and Ex Libris Group. [Credo was named the Best Overall database by LJ in November 2011.]

Swets also announced last month that it had signed contracts to add publications to its e-journal gateway SwetsWise Online Content from Belgian publisher Brepols, French publishers Cairn.info and NecPlus, the Japan Science and Technology Agency, and Australia’s RMIT Publishing.
